The TORI AMOS/AL STEWART Connection

To find the Tori Amos/Al Stewart connection, we must first ask ourselves one simple question... "Y Kan't Tori Read?" Some of you may get that... some of you may be asking why Uncle Zeke can't spell. Or should I say, "kan't spell"? To begin, "LITTLE EARTHQUAKES" was NOT To ri Amos' first project. Her career began in the late 80's, with her band, "Y Kan't Tori Read". This album featured several members, including Matt Sorum, who was best known for his drum work with Guns'n'Roses, as well as The Cult. Tori, herself, has distanced herself from this project, as the album is long out of print, and something that she is not particularly proud of. This album has been one of the most sought after Tori Amos collectables. In the height of her career, new copies (in long box) were fetching upwards of $1000.00, each. Where I am a guitarist, marginal at best (and I mean BAD marginal, not good marginal), I also love and appreciate the talents of the rhythm section. Drums AND bass. Now, before I get started, I just wanted to point out that I am now numbering the blog posts, as I am wanting to refer to earlier posts, and it will be much easier if I can just lay out a number for the reader to reference. Top 5 Bands To Listen To, Under the Influence of Percocet!

For those of you that frequent my other blog ( http://www.seandahl.blogspot.com ), you know that I am recovering from a minor surgical procedure. I had the "plantar fascia" partially released, which although a rather insignificant procedure, is one that has a fairly painful recovery period. It will leave me on my back for the better part of a week, and will put me out of work for, at the very least, two weeks, and will take the better part of a month before I am back to normal. Possibly longer... So, what does this have to do with my music blog? Well, the kind doctor prescribed some Percocet, to get me through the first week or two of recovery. First, I need to make it abundantly clear that Percocet is a PRESCRIPTION pain reliever, and should only be used as such. Got that??
