You know... I sometimes feel silly. I feel like I may be the last person on the planet to discover some of these artists. I picture you all sitting there, at your computers, having a good "belly laugh" at Uncle Zeke.... the last person on the planet to discover Rosie Thomas.... or She and Him.... or Sea Wolf. So, if that is the case, then laugh away, friends.
I just viewed the latest band to be featured on my favorite podcast, "KCRW Presents: MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC". The band is Sea Wolf, and even my local library system has three of their albums currently circulating. Hence my feeling that I'm the last to hear of them. Either way, I love everything that I've heard and I am determined to hear more.
In the meantime, let's all sit back and watch a recent music video, from their latest album. The song is "Wicked Blood", and has a real Halloween feel to it. Considering it was released posted on YouTube on October 26th, I am not surprised. It also features the acting talents of Shannyn Sossamon, yet another person I am not familiar with. Wow... I just never stop discovering new talent!
And please stay tuned: Coming in the next few days, Zeke's list of his TOP 9 albums of 2009. Considering I will be hearing the new Sea Wolf, in the next few weeks, I am going to leave space for THAT album, if'n it moves me, like I think it will.
Also, Zeke's TOP 9 newest discoveries of the past year...
