The newest LP to hit my turntable is the newest release from THE CHURCH. For those of you that think The Church has been inactive for nearly 20 years, you are wrong. I saw them live, 4 or 5 years ago, and they were on top of their game... perhaps, even more than during their commercial heyday.
The most recent release, "UNTITLED #23" was released in 2009. If, like me, you happen across the vinyl version, it comes as a 2 LP set, on 180g vinyl. It sounds great, and features a more experimental, often Psychedelic sound. The concluding song occupies off of side 4, and comes in at a length of 17 minutes. Now, that is progressive, folks...
