This time of year always reminds me of Bill Nelson. Whether it was the first time I heard this song (probably back in 1984), or the fact that I purchased the cassette tape (in Alamosa, Colorado...probably at the Wal-Mart, in Spring, 1988) this time of year, I don't know. What I do know, however, is that I love this song... and I love that Bill, himself, shot the video... and for less than five hundred dollars, if I am not mistaken. Of the five hundred dollars, apparently the bulk of that budget went to the special effects creating the colorized flame in the middle of the video. Way to go, Bill. Way to be an artist in the true sense. Unlike too many of our current Top 40 stars...
